Our First Trip to the Denver Zoo!

Our friends, Vince and Kristin, got Zander (and us) a Zoo Pass! We couldn't wait to check it out so we took advantage of the sunshine and headed to the Zoo. Zander's favorite was the Giraffe...I think the size helped but we had a great time!!

We can't wait for lots more visits to the Zoo!!!

A Year Already?!?!?! Happy 1st Birthday Zander!

We had a great Birthday weekend with Zander! Bryan's Mom and her friend, Cathy came for all the festivities and Zander was spoiled by all our friends and family! On Friday, Bryan took the day off and they headed to Golden, Red Rocks and Look Out Mountain. Then on Saturday was Zander's Party. I think he knew that everyone was there for him, he loved when everyone sang to him and since then Happy Birthday has become his favorite song...he can't get enough!

A few one year statistics...Zander is 30.25" tall (67%), weighs 26 lbs 11 oz (92%), and his head is 20" (still the 99.9%).  He loves clapping and is saying a couple of word...dog and ball seem to be his favorites.  The walking is close but it's not stopping him from getting into everything!

On Sunday, we all headed to Boulder and although it could have been a little warmer, we still had a great time having lunch and shopping!

Bryan Turns 40!

WOW! What a crazy February....Bryan turned 40 on February 1st! Every year Bryan's birthday comes around, he is amazed by all of the attention and this year was no different.

Bryan started the morning heading up the mountain to Central City with Rob, Stu, and Luis. His friend from work, Larry also met them there. While he was gone, I worked on cupcakes with two of Bryans favorites (beer and football!) for his party and Grandma came over to pick up Zander....he was spending the night with all 4 of his cousins at G'ma and G'pa's house with some help from Aunt Lori!

Casey offered to help me set up for the party at Highland Tap and Burger, thank goodness! We headed over with a few decorations, balloons and cupcakes! Tap and Burger was making the appetizers and everything turned out great! The appetizers were delicious, about 40 of our friends and family came, and everyone had a great time. Erin bought Irish Car Bomb cupcakes...Oh My, they were delicious! And contained the only beer I had that night...wow, I hated to share them and took lots home for Bryan and I....AMAZING! It was nice to be able to hang out with Erin, Tony, Kristi, and Rick, we realized that was the first time we have all been out together without the kids!

Bryan was also amazed to get presents! We truly have the best friends and family in the world. And I hope he enjoyed it all as I have told him it was his last birthday for awhile...from now on, Z man gets all the glory in February!!! And we have Zander's 1st Birthday to look forward to in 2 weeks!
