Happy Easter!

On Saturday, April 23rd, Bryan and I had our first night away from Zander...Grandma and Grandpa got in some good Zander snuggle time while Mom and Dad headed up to Blackhawk and Central City for some gambling! Dad lost some money but Mom was very lucky and won most of it back! Dad had been up twice since Zander was born and was a winner both times, all of this adding to Zander's college fund!

On Easter morning, Grandma and Grandpa set up the annual Easter Egg Hunt for Jordyn, Skylar, Peyton, Lauren, and Zander. Zander raked in lots of quarters, candy, socks and some toys! He also got a basket from all of his aunts and uncles! Although Mom and Dad helped him with the candy, he has enjoyed all of his cars, balls, clothes, socks, toys, stuffed rabbit, and sunglasses! Check out this stash!

We also did some family pictures, it wasn't the beautiful day we have had a few of the past years but we all had a great time and LOTS to eat! Peyton and Lauren made some really cute cupcakes too!

Zander's First Rapids Game

On Friday Night, Zander got to go to his first Rapids Game! That makes one NHL game, ten MLB games, and one MLS game! And of course his cousinsPeyton and Lauren's soccer games too! He is a very busy man but we have realized that he is much happier in the evenings if we are on the go...we are doing the best to make him happy!

Zander is 2 months old! Where does the time go?

We went to the doctor today and Zander is 12 pounds 9 ounces! That puts him in the 73% for weight, he is 22.25 inches long putting him in only the 25% for height, and his head size is in the 90%!! Takes after his dad! He is eating 6 ounces every 4 hours or so during the day and sleeps anywhere between 5 and 7 hours during the night. The first time he made it 7 hours, mom didn't get much sleep because she just kept looking at the monitor making sure everything was all right...but he has done it a few times now and mom is loving the sleep! Dad is out of town in New York this week but we have been sending lots of pictures, what did people do before picture mail? He got his shots today and wasn't happy but is now sound asleep so hopefully all will go well for the night as we are also celebrating Grandpa's birthday tonight...HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!!

Here are some of our favorite 2 month pictures!

Rockies Opening Day...Spring is officially here!

What a beautiful day for Opening Day at Coors Field! Zander got lots of sunscreen and a new hat for the occasion. It started out windy and chilly but was beautiful by game time! We didn't get too many pictures on Opening Day...Mom and Dad were having too much fun! After the game, the family was coming over for a BBQ, we have had visitors, Felicia and Karen, in town from Scotland and they were scheduled to leave on Saturday morning. We all wanted to get together before they headed out of Colorado. I lost track of time but Bryan was on it and we made it home just in time for everyone to arrive! We had a great time at Opening Day and hanging out with family that evening.

On Thursday, before Opening Day, the Rockies did a practice raising money for charity. They came out and signed autographs and then practiced for the fans. Grandma, Jordyn, Skylar, Arya, Zander, and I all showed up in time for autographs. Grandma hung out in the shade with Arya and Zander, while the girls and I got in line. Jordyn and Skylar REALLY wanted Tulo's autograph but I explained that there were 13 lines and we had no control over which players came to our line. When the players came out, I couldn't believe how lucky we were...Tulo came right to our line! Jordyn and Skylar were so excited! We got Tulo's autograph and then had a plan, they were going to move to whatever line was the shortest! We made it through two more lines getting a total of 5 autographs in twenty minutes....Matt Reynolds, Matt Lindstrom, Ty Wigginton, Jose Lopez, and of course, Tulo...AWESOME! Afterwards we walked around the ballpark and watched batting practice...overall a great day!

Bryan had waited so long for baseball season to return that we couldn't stay away from the ballpark! We headed back on Tuesday, April 5th to watch the Rockies take on the Dodgers. We had a great time walking around the ballparkand check out what was new, we found a Tequila bar, seating with a waitress and great views and we can't wait to try them out first hand. We also found a great salad place and saw Manuel Corpas with his son watching the action....and most importantly, the Rockies won!
